Thank you for being interested in Musically Fluent. As a fellow music teacher, your interest is enormously valuable to me and I hope you will take on these principles and use them in your teaching whilst registering on the site to share your insights with the community. Perhaps you are interested in developing your own fluent musicianship - to gain improvisation skills for example - as traditional methods do not equip us in this way.

Naturally, I encourage you to use the course materials that you can purchase on the downloads page to apply in your teaching but please do not copy and distribute these materials - each student must purchase their own. You and your students are invited to make requests for new musical resources to be made available for purchase and download. In this way, I can address specific technical issues or offer access to training in particular styles or genres.

I also urge you to encourage your students to have individual registrations where appropriate so that they can benefit from being active community members. They will then have online access to the audio-visual support and any new material that is added to the site.

Remember that musical fluency is gained through playful practice and not theory! So you will need to practise to stay one step ahead of your students. I find that constantly being on a learning journey myself makes me a far better teacher. Music is an endless journey of discovery!
